Our exclusive fat tungsten sustain blocks for Floyd Rose tremolo bridges offer the highest density available in a block that conforms to the original size specifications of your Floyd Rose bridge. When it comes to sustain, the single most important property of a metal is density followed by hardness. Tungsten is over 4 times denser than titanium and more than twice as dense as brass. To equal the mass of our tungsten sustain block, you would need a titanium block 4 times the size and a brass block double the dimensions of our tungsten block.
Most standard tremolo spring cavities simply aren't large enough to accommodate bulky sustain blocks sold by other companies. Ours is a direct replacement for the stock sustain block adding up to a half pound of mass to your bridge.
Why are density and mass important to sound and sustain? A fixed guitar bridge efficiently transmits string vibration from the bridge to the body through a large contact area but tremolo bridges are limited by a few very small attachment points. A great deal of resonance is lost to the bridge through the tremolo springs because the springs absorb and dissipate vibration very well. This is one of the reasons expensive studio microphones are suspended by springs to isolate external vibrations. A high density sustain block means greater mass which means less string vibration transmitted to the springs and more in the bridge where it belongs.
Soft metals absorb sound and cancel sustain. Tungsten is much harder than steel and titanium and over twice as hard as brass. No other sustain block offers the perfect combination of mass and hardness.With our tungsten sustain block, every note will be brighter with a noticeable increase in clarity and sustain.
12.75mm thickness - double the thickness of a standard Floyd Rose block.Since this block is larger than a conventional sustain block, it can also limit upward travel of the tremolo and can be set to rest against the body in a blocked bridge configuration. For floating bridge setup this block may require some routing in the spring cavity.
These blocks will fit the Original Series 6 & 7-string, Special Series & 1000 Series 6-string, and the 1000 Series Pro 6 & 7-string tremolos.

Online Orders – 14 Day Returns (Distance Selling Regulations)
Customers who purchase online or through distance selling channels have the right to cancel their order within 14 days of receiving their goods in accordance with the Consumer Contracts Regulations.
To exercise this right, customers must notify us within 14 days of delivery and then return the item within a further 14 days.
Returned items should be supplied complete with all original packaging, documentation, accessories and any promotional items included with the order.
Customers may inspect and handle goods as they would reasonably be able to in a retail showroom. However, if goods are returned showing signs of use, modification, damage, excessive handling, missing items or reduced resale value, we reserve the right to make an appropriate deduction from the refund amount to reflect any loss in value.
All returns are inspected and documented upon receipt before a refund is processed.
Refunds will be issued to the original payment method within 14 days of receipt of the returned goods (or evidence that the goods have been returned), subject to inspection and verification of condition.
Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer unless the item is faulty, not as described, or supplied in error.
In-Store Purchases Items purchased in-store are not eligible for a refund. However, we do offer exchange or a store credit (gift card) for in-store purchases returned within 14 days, provided they are in their original condition with proof of purchase.
Exclusions Please note that custom orders, modified items, B-stock, clearance items, and goods obtained through part exchange are non-refundable, unless faulty.
Partial Refunds There are certain situations where only partial refunds may be granted, at our discretion. These include, but are not limited to:
Protective films removed from pickguards or pickups
Missing paperwork, case candy, tremolo arms or accessories
Signs of wear beyond normal inspection
Altered setups or adjustments carried out after delivery
Swapped or modified parts
Damage to original packaging
All returns are inspected upon receipt. If a return does not meet the conditions above, we reserve the right to refuse it or issue a partial refund.
New Items — 12-Month Warranty
All new products sold by Guitar Warehouse are covered by a 12-month manufacturer’s warranty, in line with UK consumer law.
This warranty covers manufacturing defects and faults that occur under normal use. In the event of an issue, we will assist with the warranty process and liaise with the manufacturer or authorised service centre where required.
This warranty does not cover:
Normal wear and tear
Damage caused by misuse, neglect, accident, or unauthorised repair/modification
Consumable items (such as strings, valves, batteries, etc.)
Pre-Owned Items — 3-Month Warranty
All pre-owned items are supplied with a 3-month Guitar Warehouse warranty.
This covers faults that arise from normal use and were not apparent at the time of sale. All pre-owned instruments and equipment are checked, tested, and set up prior to sale to ensure they are fully functional.
This warranty does not cover:
Cosmetic wear consistent with age or prior use
Damage caused by misuse, neglect, accident, or unauthorised repair/modification
Proof of purchase is required for all warranty claims.
Warranty claims must be reported as soon as a fault is identified.
Warranty is non-transferable and applies to the original purchaser only.
Your statutory rights under UK consumer law are not affected.
For warranty claims on distance sales, customers are responsible for safely returning the item to us for inspection. Where a valid warranty fault is confirmed, we will cover the cost of returning the item to the customer.
